Useful tool, some small quirks

I used Transaction Pro Importer for QuickBooks Online to bring in a bunch of historical invoices. It generally worked well and saved me considerable time compared to manual entry. The data validation tools were helpful. My only minor gripe was the initial setup for custom field mapping; it took a bit more trial and error than I anticipated. Once configured, though, it was efficient. Delivery of the license key was quick. Customer support was responsive when I had a question about file formats. Good value for what it does, but that initial mapping could be a touch more intuitive.

Saved me a ton of time

So, I had this huge customer list to get into QuickBooks Desktop and was dreading it. Decided to try Transaction Pro Importer. Honestly, it was pretty straightforward. Set up the mapping, uploaded the file, and boom, all my customers were in there. Way better than typing them all out. It felt like a big win for my workday, very smooth experience overall.

Good value with annual plan

I was looking for a tool to handle bulk imports into QuickBooks Online. The Transaction Pro Importer seemed like a good fit. I opted for the annual billing to get the discount, which saved me a decent amount. It felt worth the purchase, especially not having to manually enter hundreds of transactions. Glad I went with the annual option.

Hey, I'm thinking about getting the importer for QuickBooks Online. Does it handle importing stuff like sales receipts and invoices?

A Aaron Wilson 1 month ago
Yeah it totally does. I use it for invoices all the time, super easy.

I've done sales receipts and even customer lists with it. It's pretty versatile for common transaction types.

Can this tool handle custom fields I've set up in QuickBooks? That's a big one for me.

M Michael W. 1 month ago
From my experience with the importer, it does support custom field mapping. You gotta set it up, but it's there.

Pretty sure it does. I've mapped a few custom fields for my inventory items successfully.

I'm looking at moving some historical data from Desktop to Online. Does Transaction Pro help with that whole migration process?

J Justin P. 1 month ago
It's designed for that! I used it to move years of stuff from desktop to online when we upgraded. Worked pretty smoothly.

E Ella Mitchell 1 month ago
Yeah, that's one of its main uses. You can import into Online whatever you exported from Desktop, assuming the fields match up.

Is there a free trial for this thing? Wanna try it out before committing.

A Abigail R. 4 weeks ago
Yep, 14-day free trial. I used it to test my specific import files before buying.

They do, it's pretty standard for software like this. Lets you kick the tires a bit.

Anyone compared Transaction Pro to something like SaasAnt or Zed Axis? Wondering which is better.

E Eric Davis 1 week ago
I've used Zed Axis before, and TPro felt a bit more intuitive for me, especially with the error handling. But it depends on your specific needs.

SaasAnt is okay, but I found TPro's interface a little cleaner. The customer support seemed better too, just my two cents.

What if I decide to cancel my subscription? Does all my data just disappear or what happens?

S Sandra Gomez 1 week ago
Your actual QuickBooks data is safe, TPro just helps move it. If you cancel, you just lose access to the TPro tool itself, not your QB info.

A Abigail Evans 1 week ago
Nah, your data in QuickBooks stays put. Transaction Pro is just a bridge, it doesn't store your main financial records permanently. You just won't be able to use the importer/exporter anymore.

How do you even enter a promo code if you have one? I can't find a spot on their site.

E Eric King 2 weeks ago
It's usually when you're checking out on the Rightworks billing portal. That's where I entered mine.
2
J James M. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it's not directly on the Transaction Pro site. Look for it during the payment step, usually on the Rightworks side.
